NeoMedia To Host Special Shareholders Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia March 30, 2010

Atlanta, GA, March 8, 2010 – On Friday March 5, 2010 NeoMedia Technologies, Inc. (“NeoMedia”) (OTCBB: NEOM) filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission a Definitive Proxy Statement on Schedule 14A, related to its upcoming special meeting of its stockholders to be held on March 30, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., local time, at the Marriot Courtyard Hotel, Atlanta Perimeter Center, 6250 Peachtree - Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia.

At the special meeting, stockholders will act upon the matters outlined in the Notice of Special Meeting of Stockholders, filed with the Definitive Proxy Statement. These matters include the approval of amendments to NeoMedia’s Certificate of Incorporation; to authorize a 1 share for 100 shares reverse split of its outstanding common stock; to fix the amount of its authorized common shares at 5,000,000,000; to decrease the par value of its common stock from $0.01 to $0.001; and any other matters that may properly come before the special meeting or any postponement or adjournment thereof.

Shareholders are encouraged to attend the meeting or to vote their proxy, as directed on the proxy cards which were mailed to each shareholder.
